Shoe Reincarnation

So I'm sure most of you know of my shoe obsession... Just when I think I've got it under control I find myself wandering to the shoe section in every store, dreaming of a pair of shoes I saw in passing and drooling over Zappos.com. "Hi my name is Heather and I'm a shoe-aholic." So right now I'm reading Watermelon by Marian Keyes (wicked British humor-type book) and I believe I just read a quote that explains it all perfectly. Brace yourself you are about to enter the twisted mind of a shoe-aholic:

Besides, I'd seen a really nice pair of shoes yesterday in the mall and I wanted them for my own.
I can't describe the feeling of immediate familiarity that rushed between us. The moment I clapped eyes on them I felt like I already owned them. I could only suppose that we were together in a former life. That they were my shoes when I was a serving maid in medieval Britain or when I was a princess in ancient Egypt. Or perhaps they were the princess and I was the shoes. Who's to know? Either way I knew that we were meant to be together.

That's hilarious. It's so funny how different shoes seem to just call your name....

I was searching for my exact feelings when I see a pair of shoes that need to come home with me...this is it! I'm glad it's not just me!! Now I know what to tell my husband.

How timely of you to have a shoe post. Sherri and I came home with 7 pairs of new shoes yesterday between us, which may or may not be a new record. And for the record, EACH of them spoke to me. They always do.
