Oh, The Beach

So remember when I said we were going to go visit Laura and her family in Ohio? Well never mind about that - because of sick people and bad weather - we went to the beach instead!

And we went to the Fort Fisher Aquarium

The little turtle stranded on top kills me...

We also saw these really cool crooked trees while we were in Fort Fisher.

And when we were in Wilmington we discovered this excellent little bakery, Hot Pink Cake Stand. They had the best coconut cupcake I've ever eaten! So good, in fact, that it was devoured before the camera even had time to come out and take a picture of it...

Looks like fun times, Heather M! I can only guess that it was slightly prettier at the beach than Ohio.

also, that poor stranded turtle!! hahaha I can just see his legs moving trying to get somewhere. Thank goodness that big turtle has to go back in the water sometime.

I'm taking notes for our beach trip this summer. The beach + Delicious Cupcakes = Best Future Day of My Life.

I'm so in love with that turtle picture.

Yeah the stranded turtle cracked me up - I really stared at those turtles a long time cause I was convinced they had to be a statue. They were SO still and we were out there for about 15 minutes and they never moved... But they were real and I have about a million pictures of them cause they cracked me up.

And yes - definitely go eat cupcakes at the Hot Pink Cake Stand - cause they were super delicious!
